How to Incorporate Signage, Centerpieces, and Table Labeling into a Cohesive

CCR Blog

With so many cute, creative trends popping up on social media every day it can be really tough to really focus in on one style for your big day. So why do it?!  Blending a few of your favorite looks is a great way to make your wedding day really reflect the two of you and the style you share!

That last thing you want to do is visually overwhelm your guests so if you have decided to blend a few looks the most important thing is to create cohesion which is all about your details. Big or small they give you to opportunity to accent your reception from start to finish.

 Custom Signage

This is a great way to give your guest information about the event timeline, requests on how to sign the guestbook, your wedding hashtag, or offer a heartfelt thank you for their attendance on your special day! With custom signage you can pick your favor font, use a special frame, re-purpose an old pallet, hire a calligrapher, and have it all tie in with your reception style from the time you stroll down the aisle until the last song of the night!

Table numbers & Names

If you are planning to assign seats at your reception, table numbers or table names will be a necessity. But skip the stroll down a Michael’s aisle to grab those generic numbers and pick-up something will enhance your wedding day style. Hand write numbers  on acrylic pieces with a calligraphy stencil, use a burning tool to etch them into wood, write on a small mirror with a paint pen, or re-purpose vintage door knobs... Not into DIY? Etsy is just one of the great resources out there is for finding something custom and creative.

For table names think of ones that tie into your theme like favorite cities, places you will travel on your honeymoon, different flowers in your bouquet, favorite books, or most loved sweets to share!

 Custom Centerpieces

While always the focal point of the table, your centerpieces can really tie in the whole look of the table beyond just a few flowers.  Adding a sequin runner to glam it up, hand crafted wooden piece you cut yourself when going rustic, an unique vase you found from a thrift store, some old books from the sale at a library!  Adding multiple elements big & small to the centerpieces is a great way to create that layered look that integrates all the aspects you are looking for.
