Real Wedding Feature - Tamara + Archie

Las Vegas couple Tamara Santo Domingo and Archie de Asis finally tied the knot in Brentwood after surviving a whirlwind of potentially tragic events, but overcame their challenges with flying colors.

Tamara and Archie have been together for 16 years, and have two children together. They talked about getting married a lot, but always found reasons to put it off for the future. When Tamara was pregnant with their second child, they received some unfortunate news. Tamara was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. In her last stage of pregnancy, she was unable to go through chemotherapy right away, and it was uncertain what would happen to her or their baby. Archie stayed by her side, and luckily she and their child survived the life-threatening scare.

After it happened, Tamara and Archie realized how fleeting life was and didn’t want to wait to get married any longer. But they ran into one small snag: Tamara’s newly acquired medical bills. Due to their financial situation, it was clear that the cost of a wedding wasn’t in the cards anytime soon.

And that’s when Wish Upon a Wedding stepped in to save the day. The organization grants weddings and vow renewals to couples who are undergoing battles with serious illness and life-altering circumstances. From the planning stages, to the end of the night, Tamara and Archie’s stunning outdoor wedding was fully-donated, including Tamara’s wedding dress, the venue, photography, florals, entertainment, and much more (which would have cost them up to $60k). The wedding was held at MountainGate Country Club.
