How did you meet?

We met at University of LaVerne in the weight room and we were friends for almost four years… (but I was secretly in love!)

How did the proposal go down?

My dad passed away in 2016 before Christmas and he proposed to my mom on Christmas Day with her ring in her stocking and Jason proposed the same way in front of all my family on Christmas Day…and only my mom knew! Everyone else was joking about the family “having to wait another year for us to get engaged.”

What was the overall theme and/or concept for the big day?

I wanted whimsical, romantic, and elegant…with a touch of glamour!

What was your favorite moment (from each of you)?

My favorite moment was when I got to the altar and when he went to put the ring on my left hand it was my sister’s engagement ring! I was the only one who didn’t know that he forgot the rings at the hotel. I laughed out loud once my confusion subsided. Jason’s favorite moment was turning around and seeing me for the first time. He said, “I took his breath away.”

Any advice you would share with other couples?

Learn how to communicate in a way that your partner understands, learn their love language and become fluent! Also, finding someone who balances you has been key for us both!
