Real Wedding - Tiffany & Marcus
16 Feb, 2018
Where did you meet?
We met online, we talked for a while and then we met up at Starbucks for coffee the first time we ever met in person.
How did the proposal happen?
Marcus was stationed at Ft. Lewis Washington so I flew out there so we could drive his car back to CA because his orders were ending in June. We went out to dinner in Seattle the night before we planned to drive home. When we got back to our hotel, I used the bathroom and when I came out there was only one light on by the window and Marcus was sitting under it. He proposed next to the bay window that night.
What was the deciding factor of having your wedding at Recreation Park Golf Course?
For us, we wanted a vintage romantic theme and the old building with draping just did it for us. I especially loved the cocktail space with market lights, and the bridal suite had enough room for all of us plus we got some pretty good pictures in there too. I wanted a wedding with lots of lights and being we got married in March a completely outside wedding wasn't going to work. I also lived in Long Beach for many years and love it. We live in Lakewood so we are local and it made sense for us and our family and friends who would be attending.
What were the highlights of the ceremony?
Both our moms being there was special, but I would say the unity tree handprints. We are a blended family and it was important to include the children and us all putting out handprints on a blank tree was so special and so important for the kids.
What were the highlights of the Reception?
So many but our first dance, the donut was and the sparkler send-off. Two things we had to have were the donut wall and the sparkler send-off. The donut wall was super special because we built it together.
