Create Your Own Spring or Summer Centerpieces

Looking to save money on decorations? Create your own spring or summer floral arrangements with these money-saving tips!
First, find a vase suited to your preferred height. For discounts, research online vendors or stores that sell in bulk.
Tulips, mums, and daisies are all great choices for either spring or summer ceremonies—though mums are truly best in the fall. All can be purchased at your local supermarket.
For a colorful and sweet-smelling accent, add slices of lemon, limes, and oranges to the bottom of the vase. (Completing one arrangement from start to finish will help determine how much fruit to buy in order to create centerpieces for all tables). Add enough fruit to fill the vase halfway, then pour in room-temperature water.
Trim flower stems with a knife or floral clippers, available at a local arts and craft store. Before cutting, measure the flowers against your vase to determine the desired height. Then, cut on a 45 degree angle and place them in the vase, one stem at a time. The fruit at the bottom makes it easier to adjust the flowers’ height without having to recut.
