When it comes to planning your wedding, there’s so much to remember heading into the ceremony it's easy to overlook something needed on the big day. To help ease your mind, here’s a list of emergency-kit items to have on hand—just in case!
To Have on You at All Times—or in Your Maid of Honor’s Purse
1. Cell phone and back-up cell phone in case of dead battery
2. Legal documents for the officiant to sign—including your driver’s license or photo i.d.
3. List of ceremony and reception vendors, complete with phone numbers
4. Make-up
5. Small mirror
6. Nail file
7. Mints
8. Travel-sized perfume
9. Handkerchief and moist towelettes
10. Cash
To Pack in the Emergency Box
1. Brush, comb, bobby pins, or elastics if needed to maintain your look
2. Hairspray—to maintain your style, but also to slow a stocking run or alleviate static cling
3. Nail polish
4. Extra nylons
5. Baby powder or white chalk to help with potential stains
6. Sewing kit that includes hem tape, needle, thread to match bridesmaid dresses, safety pins, and scissors
7. Toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste
8. Tissues
9. Snacks such as granola bars, dried fruit, and water
10. Comfortable shoes to wear during the reception
11. Medications
12. Krazy Glue—to repair nails, shoes, and even jewelry
