Today on our Real Wedding Feature we celebrate the love and wedding of Mikala and Eric, which took place on May 7, 2016 at Knollwood Country Club in Granada Hills, California.

Their story:

From the moment Eric first saw Mikala, he knew she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, and he proposed to her 6 months later in front of their close friends and loved ones. 

Before they started searching for a venue, they knew that they wanted to have their ceremony outside, which is why they eventually picked Knollwood Country Club as their venue. As soon as they arrived, the happy couple knew Knollwood was the place for them. They fell in love with the picturesque outdoor ceremony site that overlooked rolling fairways lined with impressive pines and rose bushes. The location was everything they dreamed for their special day. They planned a beautiful reception as well, with accents of burlap and lace, and blush pink and gold Chiavari chairs, complemented by the recent renovations the club had undergone.

Mikala explained that her most memorable moment of the night was the first dance where they were husband and wife. 

“I was in a different world, and it was as if no one else was around. Anyone who knows me know I am very quiet, especially around large groups. Yet I ended up singing our song, “It’s Your Love,” to my husband like a pro.”
