Wedding Favor Fun

Jamie McGregor

Sometimes couples put a lot of pressure on themselves to have the best wedding favors at their wedding. But let’s be honest, can you remember all the wedding favors you’ve received? Probably not. In fact, you might have wondered what do I do with this and tucked it in a cabinet somewhere. Here are a few tips and tricks on wedding favors: Besides super close family members, like your parents or grandparents, your guests won’t be hoping for trinkets or keepsakes with your name and wedding date on it. Send your guests off with something yummy to eat, something tasty to drink or a favor that’s something they can use. Chocolates, candy and specialty food are always good go-to favors. You can usually find chocolates in shapes that are related to you or our wedding theme. Candy Bars are definitely a fan favorite! And you can personalize your candy bar to reflect you as couple by offering your favorite candy, your favorite childhood candy or if you’re big baseball fans then you could do candy you can get at the ball park. Getting married at a winery? Sometimes you can get small bottles of wine to pass out as favors. If nothing is jumping out at you to giveaway as a favor you can always make a donation to an organization in honor of your guests. If you’re a huge animal lover make a donation to a local shelter that you volunteer at. You can let your guests know by printing out a card and putting them at each place setting or to save costs on printing cards for each person you can make a larger card and put one at each table. By the time you get to order the favors your budget might have gotten a little out of scope. To help get it back in line you can opt to get 1 favor for each couple and 1 favor for singles. Keeping track of this at the dinner table might be a little confusing so instead have a separate table set-up for your favors. Have you ever done a quick scan of the dinner tables at the end of a wedding? More often than not you’ll see wedding favors left behind in the hub bub of moving around and having a good time. To help remedy this try handing out favors at the end of the reception. You can set-up a table by the exit so your guests can pick one up on their way out. Good luck and have fun with your favors!   Get wedding planning ideas from the wedding experts at www.countryclubreceptions.com
