Eight Last-Minute Things to Remember on your Big Day!
29 Oct, 2012
Even the most prepared bride is capable of neglecting an important detail or two on the day of the wedding! Help prevent mishaps by consulting the list below for some of the bigger things you'll want to make sure you remember.
1. Emergency kit. Include spare makeup, bobby pins, sewing kit, and safety pins for wardrobe malfunctions.
2. Reserved seating. Be sure to tell family members of any special seating you’ve arranged for them, and let the usher or coordinator know as well.
3. Comfortable shoes. You’ll most likely be painfully tired of your heels by the time the salads are served! Bring a pair of sandals or slippers to change into.
4. A card and/or gifts for loved ones. Most people remember to buy a gift for the bridesmaids, but it's just as important to show your parents you appreciate them. Also consider grandparents, godparents, or anyone instrumental in planning your big day.
5. Snacks. The only thing worse than a bridezilla is a hungry bridezilla! Take care of your wedding party with sandwiches or snacks purchased ahead of time, or else have food delivered.
6. A helper. Ask a friend or family member to look after your essentials after the reception; doing so will ease your mind so you can freely mingle with guests.
7. Legal Documents. Don’t forget your marriage license! You’ll need it to obtain signatures.
8. Have fun. Remember to stop, breathe, and take in your special day. You put in a lot of hard work—don’t forget to enjoy the payoff!
