Leah Mori and Jason Sheets were married on April 23, 2017 at SeaCliff Country Club in Huntington Beach, California, among 130 of their closest family and friends.

Where They Met

 Leah: We met in person on April 22, 2016 at Bon Epi Café in Irvine (our first date was 6 hours long!). But we actually met on Match.com and started messaging each other on April 17.

 

Why SeaCliff Country Club?

Leah: We can’t list just one deciding factor. It was a combination of many things—SeaCliff’s willingness to be flexible with our needs and budget, being able to use our own vendors, the beautiful ceremony site and ballroom, the amazing food, and the awesome staff (Ashley, Tara, and Keely are so sweet and great to work with).

Challenges Faced During Wedding Planning

 Leah: The biggest challenge we faced in planning was doing it in four months! We made many decisions in a short amount of time, but we are blessed to have amazing family and friends who offered support, advice, and help where we needed it. And this challenge is another reason why SeaCliff was the perfect venue for us—many of the hard decisions were made quickly and easily with everything that is provided here!

 

Highlights of the Ceremony

Leah: The major highlight of the ceremony was making such an important commitment to each other with many of our closest friends and family present. Having everyone there was truly special. Other highlights were the vows that we wrote to one another, the surprise ring that Jason gave to me, Jason’s dad officiating the ceremony, and our first kiss as husband and wife.

Highlights of the Reception

Leah: There were so many highlights from the reception! The ones that stand out to us are the food (the salad, flatbread, and tacos were amazing), the music and dancing, and hearing about how much fun everyone was having. What a fun night!
