It’s officially summer, and you know we love summer weddings! If you’re in the middle of planning your sweet summer wedding, we wanted to share some wedding inspiration with you with this Real Wedding Feature from last August.

Chris is from Asheville, North Carolina and Julie is from Santa Monica, California. Chris proposed to Julie in front of their family during a Thanksgiving, and the happy couple began planning their summer wedding. They wanted to find a way to combine the stylistic elements of the Los Angeles landscape with a rustic, country theme.

MountainGate Country Club was the perfect venue for their wedding, with its gorgeous tree-shaded and verdant surroundings that was also undeniably LA. The couple did not need to add much décor to enhance the breathtaking setting. With some additions of burlap, lace, twine, and wood, the country club took on a lovely rustic charm. Flowers, succulents, and candles transitioned the ceremony space from a hot summer day to an unforgettable evening under the stars.

Julie and Chris wanted to focus their day on fun, family, and friends. Once the sun set, the party really started as they celebrated the start of their life as husband and wife.
